Due to COVID-19, this year's maintenance day has been postponed until further notice. Check back for updates.

Each year, Operation Playground coordinates a group of volunteers from Lincolnway High School and holds a "Maintenance Day" for the Fort. Students sand, stain, paint, and perform other maintenance tasks to the Fort to ensure it looks its best for the new playtime season. Students who volunteer earn service hours for helping with this project. If you or your organization are interested in help with Maintenance Day, please contact us. Students must be 16 or older to participate.

Each year, Operation Playground manages two parking lots at Fall Fest. Parking fee revenues are used to maintain Fort Frankfort, the Bark Park and enhance other Frankfort parks. Volunteers are needed to work the lots, with duties that include waving Fall Fest visitors toward the lot, collecting the parking donation, giving a donation receipt, and helping direct drivers to open spots.  Morning shifts take place between 8:30/9am - 12/1pm and afternoon shifts occur from 12-3pm.  As a special thank you, Bark Park members will earn a free membership for the following season!  Please contact Jessica Simmons at simmon.jess@gmail.com or 815-351-8137 to sign up.

The annual craft beer tasting event is Operations Playground's most important fund raising event. Helping hands are always needed for handing out tasting glasses and program, selling raffle tickets and serving as beer pourers.
