The pumptrack is named after a former Foundation Board member Judy Herder. Judy was a member of the Operation Playground board for 17 of years and was instrumental in making numerous park projects happen in Frankfort.
The track creates a community environment by bridging the generation gap between parents, small children and adolescents. The track is constructed of composite material and will wind around a 200 foot course. Its maintenance free and because it’s not constructed of dirt, it's clean and aesthetically pleasing. The pumptrack is located at Indian Boundary Park located at Nebraska St. & Luther Lane. The pumptrack can be accessed from the Old Plank Trail just east of town.
With support of donors and through the annual fund raisers, the pump track was installed. Money is still needed to install a path from the Old Plank Trail to the track, money for benches, signs and miscellaneous items. You can help raise money by attending the Annual Pours for Parks Craft Beer Tasting in October or by making a donation.
